What should I wear during my boudoir session?

When someone is usually talking to me about their boudoir session the topic of what to wear or bring with them for their session always comes up. The easiest answer I can give is “What makes you feel sexy?”. During your boudoir session, I want you to be comfortable, feel and look your best. If you are open to a few ideas KEEP READING…lol…the juicy stuff is coming up.

When many first think of boudoir or bedroom portraits the first thing that comes to mind is lingerie. And YESSSSS…. Boudoir can be just that if you want it to be, but also can be something as simple as a crop top t-shirt and shorts. It’s all about how creative you want to be, as well as how risqué you want to be …lol

Shoes

The right pair of shoes can do wonders for how tall you look, how toned your legs appear and it also assist with your posture

Heels

They make you look taller. Wearing heels will help in contracting the muscles in your calves to make your calves appear more toned. They also make you stand and walk in a certain way (usually in a more erected way). Some get a little more swing in the hips…lol. Heels are a great addition to any outfit to bring out a little more sex appeal.

Boots

many enjoy wearing thigh-high or over-the-knee boots. These help as two styles give the appearance of your being taller and longer. I’m 5’4, a few extra inches are always welcomed..lol…any short girls feel me?

Bridal Wear

Are you getting married soon or newly married? A boudoir bridal session would be an awesome gift for your special day to you FOREVER person. In a session like this, you could throw in a few items like:

Garter

Known for luck and fertility since the late Renaissance period. Anyone who holds this item is also known to hold the luck. The placement of the garter on the thigh is a sex appeal to many. A small tease with it being above the knee without even saying a word…hmmmmm…lol

Garter belt

Putting these on is a little tricky, especially the first time, but once you get it adds a few inches to your legs and makes you seem longer.

Veil

Adding your veil to your bridal boudoir portraits gives your portraits a little of the traditional flair but adds that kinky wedding feeling too.

Everyday Clothes

Everyday clothes can be sexy. It does not have to always be lingerie. A few good ideas might be:

  1. T-shirt- throwing in your significant others' favorite t-shirt is a great way to surprise them. Imagine them looking at your portraits and BAM! A pic of their favorite person and favorite clothes.

  2. Jersey- great add of your persons' favorite person.

  3. Shorts

  4. Button-up shirt
